Baked Chicken




So, I finally gave in to Peer Pressure and made what has been all over Pinterest as ‘The World’s Best Baked Chicken.’ I honestly dont think it ever stood a chance at this house, because I am not a big maple syrup fan (except on pancakes) and this had a STRONG maple syrup flavor, my husband doesn’t like Rosemary, and my daughter doesn’t like Dijon Mustard. 3 of the 4 sauce ingredients. LOL. But I tried it anyway, and the chicken came out very pretty for baked chicken breast. (Although I forgot to line the pan with foil like the recipe so clearly stated and almost ruined a brand new pan) But it was just not for us. We put a ton of ketchup on it and ate it anyway. Ha.he fridge the next day, and I played around with the ingredients a little bit, and it turned out to be what *We* think is the WORLD’s BEST BAKED CHICKEN BREAST!  Seriously.  It didn’t turn out quite as pretty as the original recipe, but we couldn’t get enough of the flavor!  So if you have tried the original recipe and it isn’t for you, try this.  It was so juicy and delicious!  It also makes an incredibly easy and delicious FREEZER MEAL!  (freezer instructions at bottom!)

THE WORLD’S BEST BAKED CHICKENIngredients
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breast
  • Butter for Greasing Pan
  • Sauce Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 TBSP Red Wine Vinegar or Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 TBSP Dry Ground Mustard
  • 1 tsp Minced Garlic
  • 1 tsp Tony Chachere's Creole Seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black PepperInstructions
    Preheat oven to 400 Degrees. Mix sauce ingredients in a small bowl. Place Chicken breast in a foil lined baking pan that has been buttered. Pour Sauce over chicken and bake for 1 hour or until Chicken is done enough for your liking. Every 15 minutes, I turn the Chicken Breasts over and baste with the sauce in the bottom of the pan. We cook the chicken a little longer because we like the sauce to caramelize but it is GREAT either way! Enjoy!!!

    FREEZER COOKING DIRECTIONS
    Place 4 chicken breast in bottom of freezer bag. Combine sauce ingredients and pour into bag over chicken. Label, date, add cooking instructions, and freeze laying flat. Allow to thaw for 24 hours in the refrigerator before cooking. Pour bag contents into a baking dish. Bake at 400 degrees for 1 hour or until chicken is done. Every 15 minutes, I turn the Chicken Breasts over and baste with the sauce in the bottom of the pan. We cook the chicken a little longer because we like the sauce to caramelize but it is GREAT either way! Enjoy!!!
